Abruzzo,ItalyAbruzzo is situated in central Italy and lies to the east of Rome. It has two distinct areas,the province of L'Aquila which lies to the west of the Appenines and extends the whole length of Abruzzo,north to south and to the East of the Appenines the three other provinces of Chieti,Pescara and Teramo.

This division also divides the region into two distinct climatic zones, with the areas to the East of the Appenines bordering the Adriatic a temperate climate and the internal arae of L'Aquila with extremes of cold in the winter and heat in the summer.

Abruzzo has good road links with Rome,Pescara about 2.5 hours,Teramo 1.5 hours and L'Aquila 1 hour.

Along the coiast runs the north south A14 motorway which gives esay access to the northern cities.

Pesaca has its own Airport which is gaining in the number of routes flying with good connections to London,Paris,Frankfurt and Barcelona, flight also leave to New York and Toronto amongst other places.

There are ferry services across from Pescara to the Countries bordering the Adriatic to the East.

Abruzzo is also considered one of the most beautiful of the regfions of Italy in terms of Nature with more protected Nationla Parks than any other area and many species of fauna and flora unique to the area.
