Colombia is located in the northwest region of South America and shares its borders with five countries. To the east, it borders Venezuela and Brazil; to the south, it shares a border with Peru; to the northwest, it has a border with Ecuador; and to the north, it has Coastlines along the Caribbean Sea. Additionally, Colombia has a maritime boundary with Panama in the northwest and a small border with the Atlantic Ocean.
