One of East Africa’s hidden treasures is Kigali, the city capital of Rwanda. Founded in 1907 under German colonial rule, independent since 1962. Since then it has become the largest city in Rwanda. Kigali is also where the Rwandan Genocide took place in 1994. The Hutu militia killed close to one million Tutsi’ during that time. Kigali has grown economically and culturally since then.
