It's hard to say really, there are a tonne of great breaks all thoughout Australia, personally I like the ones that are less known. But I'd have to say that Snapper and Kirra when pumping have the cleanest most perfect waves I've ever seen. Problem is even when it's practically flat there'll be about 200+ surfers out there. You can spend hours out there and only get a couple waves. Otherwise all along the east coast in NSW and Qu have heaps of great spots especially in my opinion the coffs habour region. I live in Victoria and in my option there's only a few good surf spots- point leo, inverloch and torquay. Plus The water can get icying as hell In the winter. Don't know about the other states but personally north NSW coast has the funniest waves, good weather and warm water.
