Chinese is primarily spoken in China, Taiwan, Singapore, and various other countries with significant Chinese populations, such as Malaysia and the United States.
There are several countries in the world that speak Mandarin. Three of these countries are China, Taiwan, and Singapore.
China and Singapore would be the only two countries that I know of that have Chinese as an offical language- also people speaking Chinese can be found in most countries.
Two independent countries have Chinese as the predominant mother tongue and official language: the People's Republic of China and the Republic of China (also known as Taiwan).
Because in China, citizens speak Chinese and in the USA citizens speak American. So immigrants have to adapt to their customs not the other way around.
Most people who speak Mandarin primarily reside in China, where it is the official language. Additionally, Mandarin is widely spoken in Taiwan and among Chinese populations in various other countries.
China, Taiwan, and Singapore have Mandarin Chinese as an official language.
About 90% of China's population speaks Chinese.
Anywhere in the where there is or has been a Chinese immigrant community, there are likely to be Mandarin Chinese speakers. The largest number of speakers is in the People's Republic of China.
