the closest Golf course is Amherst Golf Club. Not bad, greens are solid, pretty short. Always in fine condition. The next closest is Hickory Ridge. Its semi-private, a personal favorite of mine as I used to be a member. Solid condition; known for being pretty wet. Greens are great and course is fair and challenging. Play it off the tips and the last hole is difficult. Next would be Holyoke CC and there's another dogtrack that i can't remember the name in N. Amherst.. . . Also beaver brook in Nhampton (crap) and Northampton CC ( weird, 3 holes share one fairway). Stick with Hickory, Rick is a great pro and its the best bang for the buck. Also check out the Ledges in S. Hadley, about 20 mins away. Great deal and a fun course, great condition.
