Latin America is often divided geographically into four main regions: North America (Mexico and Central America), the Caribbean, the Andean region (including countries along the Andes mountains in South America), and the Southern Cone (southernmost part of South America). These divisions are based on geography, culture, and history.
Both are separate regions. The Americas are culturally divided between Anglo-America (the US, Canada) and Latin America (Mexico, Cuba, Argentina, Brazil) so Latin America cannot be 'in' the United States.
Can be divided into at least two cultural regions, Anglo America and Latin America
The Latin American countries are Spanish speaking and include Mexico and countries south of Mexico.
Before the election of Pope Francis I there were only two popes from Spain,Pope Alexander VI and Pope Callixtus III. Pope Francis is the first pope from Latin America
