This is a weird question. Tennessee doesn't merely border TWO states! You have Kentucky to the north, Virginia to the northeast, North Carolina to the east, Georgia to the southeast, Alabama to the south central and Mississippi to the southwest. If you don't count the Mississippi River as the western border, then you should also add Arkansas and Missouri to the west as well.
Hope this helps

Tennessee is bordered by Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi to the south, Kentucky and Virginia to the north, North Carolina to the east, and Arkansas and Missouri to the west. Virginia, North Carolina and Georgia were among the original 13 U.S. states.
There are two states: Kentucky and Virginia. Kentucky has the longest border with the north of Tennessee. It runs from the NW corner of West Tennessee along to a point toward the north of Knoxville in East Tennessee. Virginia borders the rest of the northern border to the NE corner of Tennessee.
Both Tennessee and Missouri border 8 other states (the most of any).
