Costa is owned by Carnival corp. Costa has been around for a long time so they must be doing something right. The first cruise that I ever took was on a Costa ship from Miami to Nassau. I loved it. Costa is great also if you like Italian food.
The Costa Cruise Line does not offer a route that travels around Africa. The Cruise Line offers destinations specific to the nations bordering the Mediterranean Sea.

That depends on the destination (Where you are going) . Since Holland America would be a cruise line, it would depend on where your destination would be.
Unfortunately, no. You are able to get "past guest" deals but your status does not transfer. I am platinum on Carnival but would be first time cruiser on costa, even though they are owned by the same company. Bummer, huh??
