Considering Mexico is a devote Catholic country, Both Santa Claus and the Three Magi qualify as such.

Traditional gift exchange has occurred on Epiphany Day(Jan 6), when the Biblical Magi (Melchior, Caspar, Balthasar) provide the gifts to well-behaved children. However, especially in northern Mexico, many families also have their gift exchange during Christmas (Dec 25).
