Ana de Mendoza y de la Cerda, also known as Princess of Éboli, Countess of Mélito and Duchess of Pastrana. (29 June 1540 - 2 February 1592) was a Spanish aristocrat. Ana married at the age of twelve years (1552) with Ruy Gómez de Silva, by recommendation of Prince Philip. Her husband was prince of Éboli and minister of the King. She was considered one of the more talented women of her time, and although she lost an eye, was considered one of the most beautiful ladies in Spain. Eboli is a town of Campania, Italy, in the province of Salerno, on the south edge of the hills overlooking the valley of the Sele.
