Five (5) is the number of times that Mahatma Gandhi visited the south Indian state of Kerala. The visits took place on August 18, 1920 concerning the entrance of European settlers at the Kozhikode railway, March 8-19, 1925 regarding untouchability, October 9-15, 1927 respecting cotton-spinning, and January 10-22, 1924 and January 12-21, 1937 regarding national freedom, regional customs, and spiritual practices.
