The U.S. withdrawal from Vietnam was significantly influenced by public opinion, which shifted dramatically as the war progressed. Growing disillusionment, fueled by graphic media coverage and rising casualties, led to widespread protests and a strong anti-war movement. While public sentiment was a crucial factor, it was also intertwined with political considerations and military realities, suggesting that multiple elements contributed to the decision to withdraw. Therefore, I agree that public opinion played a vital role, but it was not the sole reason for the U.S. withdrawal.
because they were dump
U.S involvement in the Vietnam War was called a quagmire because the Vietnam War became worse for the U.S as they went further into the war. The U.S and its ally South Vietnam were unable to defeat North Vietnam and its Vietcong allies. The U.S was unable to effectively remove troops from Vietnam without feeling like they lost the fight against containment of Communism. Public opinion shifted from support of the war to antiwar sentiment.
IT WAS CONSIDERED ILLEGAL BECAUSE SOUTH VIETNAM NEVER DECLARED WAR ON NORTH VIETNAM AND VISA VERSA IT WAS A CIVIL WAR AND THE U.S. SHOULD NEVER GOT INVOLVED IN THEIR OPINION
America served in the Vietnam war for about 16 years until the end of it, and the country put in so much effort and money and time and men, and South Vietnam still fell to Communism in the end. And of course many, many people obviously died during those 16 years.
As was the American people, the UN was divided on the Vietnam War.
America is special because of our freedom. We have the right the our own opinion, religon, and can speek freely unlike most nations.
I think that it is a opinion because everyone is not good swimers
It is a matter of opinion
Because of the negative public opinion about the Vietnam conflict, there was a need to bring focus back to the humanity of the war. A wall with the names of every casualty gave the war a human - and very costly - price. It caused people to recognize the casualties and those who fought in the war in spite of the political opinions about the war. It also became a touchstone of appreciation for the nearly three million men and women who served in Vietnam to overcome the shame and rejection associated with that conflict.
The answer to this question is a matter of opinion. Personally, America has the best food because it has food from all around the world!
it helped to get public opinion.
Lyndon Johnson did not run for a third term largely because of opposition to the Vietnam War from his own party as well as outside.
