• Some are lured there because of growth and employment or low tax rates.
• A few have an affininity for Tex-Mex, Barbecue, jalapenos and breakfast burritos.
• A few like to chase tornadoes.
• Some may even be lured to experience a hurricane.
• Most like it because Texas is big

EVERYTHING! Texas is the best state! It's not all cowboy/cowgal-ish stuff! Texas has good food, a GREAT capital (Austin) ect. So that answers you question "What is so good about Texas?" Because of its reputation going way back to when it called itself the Lone Star state. It was the only state with its own government and own constitution. It was the only state ever given permission from the union to secede, which it did.

It was welcomed as a new state when it joined the union.
