There are no such thing as Boston pug terriers but Boston terriers and pugs are both short haired.
American Pit Bull Terriers are the standard breed associated with pit bulls and they typically have straight tails. However, certain mixed breeds or individual dogs may have curly tails, such as those crossed with a breed like a Bulldog or a Pug. It's not a characteristic specific to pit bulls.
pugs or Boston terriers oh and boxers
By "ring" tail i pressume you mean curly? Here are some breeds with curly tails; Pug, Akita, Siberian Husky, Pomeranian and Chow Chow.
Pugs have curly tails due to breeding. A Pug's tail is set high, curled as tightly as possible, pinned to the back. Double scroll is more desirable among breeders. The tail is the way dogs express themselves, much like a flag. With a pug, if he is asleep and relaxed, the tail becomes long and loose. If the pug is happy, excited, etc. the tail is curled up tight like a knot on top of its butt. When a pug wags its tail, it will usually be tightly curled and flutter like a butterfly wing. When the tail is loose and wagging, in a circular motion, it is a submissive wag which is quickly followed by the pug showing you his belly.
well pugs are more wrinklier, they're tails are curly, and they're like bigger than the french bulldog... and personally they're cuter to me!!!
Of course they can. Pugs are dog friendly, so are Boston Terriers. Here are some topics about Socialization and Training, http://dogtime.com/socialization.html http://dogtime.com/training-by-personality.html

In my opinion: Chihuahua's, Border Terriers, Dalmatians, Yorkshire Terriers, Pug's, Beagle's, Border Collie's, Shetland Sheep Dogs.
I prefer pugs as they are adorable but Boston Terriors are what i call a rat dog. But it's entirely up to our opinion.
