They sent a large force of one million men to China, and it costed them over 100,000 dead and wounded, the grief over their bereaved families, hardship for many years, and a national expenditure of several billions of yen. It by all means they must get satisfactory results from it.
At the present time, China has a much more powerful military force than Japan does. I will add that there does not appear to be any reason to expect war to break out between China and Japan. China has been working very hard to develop its economy and to improve its standard of living, and that would be accomplished much better by trade with Japan rather than war with Japan. Nonetheless, China has the capacity to destroy Japan, should it wish to do so.
hard to say. china might fail in war but japan can't occupy china forever.
Japan was in the allies. Japan joined the allies because Germany had a part of china and a few islands in the pacific and Japan wanted to conquer the german land.
yes made in japan and china hard to find parts
During the early part of World War Two, the distance of Japan was so far from the US that the Pacific Ocean protected Japan from invasion. The Chinese had no chance to invade Japan and the USSR had an agreement not to engage in combat until the very last days before Japan's surrender.
Japan needed raw materials, particularly oil, in order to continue their aggressive war against China. The USA did its best to prevent the Japanese gaining these war materials, unless they gave up the war first. While Hawaii and Midway are known for their vast oil production... Without the islands America and Japan would have a very hard time operating in the pacific. They served as places to place troops and resource vastly reducing the fleet that would be required to fight a war. Imagine if the US had to sail all of the resources it needed from the coast to the main land of japan. It would be near impossible
well, this is a hard topic. for one, the only alternative Truman had was to have troops attack japan, which would result in about 200,000 American soldiers' deaths. and japan would fight to the death for sure - they never gave up easily. you might say that w/o the atomic bombs, the war would end eventually, but who knows who would win and how long it would take.
No he thought it was the best solution and would save millions of american lives, along with the lives of allied troops. He fully supported the idea of dropping the bomb fully.
yes their are lawn bowling clubs in japan but it would be very hard to find one
that hard see yu
Everyone in Japan works hard.
So many people live in Japan because they were born there moved there or they don't LIVE in Japan they are just paying a visit there maybe if they like Japan they will then move there my dad lived in Japan 5 years. In China the reason many mothers can't keep TWO children is because both 1. It's the law and 2. There are to many people who live in China I think it must be hard for the mother and the child.
