We don't know why Texas, and the eastern part of the USA, has been abnormally warm while we in California have been shivering through some unusually cold mornings. I live in a suburb of Sacramento, CA, and we _expect_ 15 or more 100 degree days in July. So far in 2011, we have had ONE.
And yet, the east coast is baking.
