people vote yes on 8 because they are kind and good hearted. they care about other people, and have cracked out of there stupid shell, and became a good person
OK. that's a stupid answer! not everyone even believes in God! Why would we build a state based on religion? this state should be based on the Declaration of Independence, not The Bible! After all, this is (supposed to be) an independent country. sure in the bible, it says "man shall not lie with man", but it also says that id someone disobeys you, that means you can kill them! i don't know about you, but that is BS! i don't know if anyone who kills people for disobeying them... and if you do, at least you know you wont go to hell!!! and if you think voting yes will "help" or "save" people, haven't you ever thought that they don't necessarily want to be saved? these people are still going to be gay whether you vote yes or no! voting yes won't save anyone! And also, the real thing our country is supposed to be based on, the declaration of independence, SAYS:
"ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL!!!!!!"
The phrase is 'the ayes have it'. It means that the people who agree with a proposition have won a vote about it. ('Aye' is an old word for 'yes'.)
If you take a vote and a matter is passed unanimously, it means everyone voted 'yes' to it there were no 'abstentions' and no 'no' votes.
