Due to changes in game-play, this was the only Survivor season to last 42 days instead of 39. The final four was turned into a final three and the results were revealed live. This Survivor tradition has remained for the rest of the seasons so that nobody knows the results of the game until the finale.
It looks like Survivor: One World will begin airing in May 2012, in Australia.

As far as I know there are no other words with the exact meaning like survivor. Unless you translate it to other languages.
Whenever i watch inuyasha on hulu they say to check back on mondays for new episodes
They were cancelled, because we came up with new technology and the things people like these days, good or bad, are now on TV.
After being voted off of Survivor, the castaways are moved to a beach which has been called "Ponderosa". This location is basically a holding area where they await the next tribal council until they ultimately have the ability to vote for a winner of the million dollars and provide them with the title of sole survivor. Survivor Ponderosa is only accessible through the internet but provides even more insight into what happens after castaways are voted out of the game.
''Some episodes are to hard to film in front of a live studio audience.'' (Bridgit Mendler said) But most episodes are in front of a live audience. Like- "Appy days" and ''Meet the parents''.
Australia was like the US back in the "good ol' days"; using the TV films as examples: "Father Knows Best", "Ozzie & Harriet", "Perry Mason", "Lassie", "Leave it to Beaver", then leaving the 1950's into the 1960's with, "Happy Days" and "The Brady Bunch", etc. That was Australia during the 1960's & 1970's. Australia, was at one time, a journey back into a simpler happier "appearing" life in the United States.
