It will, but it will overhang on both sides at the rear by about an inch. 88 was the first year of the new body style which has a slightly tapered box. The rear of the box is actually narrower than the front of the box. The 85 box is 71 inches across the front and the back, whereas the 88 box is 71 inches across the front, and 69 inches across the back.
Yes it will fit.
YES they are the same.
A direct bolt on, no.
An equivalent GMC Caballero
NO. You need one from 1988 to 1999
Any smallblock Chevy engine will physically "fit" into a 85 Impala
can I put a 99 Chevy 4l60e transmission in my 86 k5 chevy blazer
Yeah it can fit, just make sure it's from an 85 and down 350 or 305.
The bolt pattern on the back of the 2.8L doesn't match the 4.3L transmission bellhousing.
Any small block chevy(262 - 400 excluding 396) from 1955 to current will fit in your car. Depending on the year of the engine you could need more parts than others. So yes the 85 350 will fit. you may have to change the bell houseing on the tranny....well and of course the exhaust
you need a door from 73 to 87
why does your 85 Chevy give you problems when it rains
