The easiest way to get promoted quickly in the US Army is to be a model soldier, know you job, show up on time for formations, excel in Physical Fitness and want the rank (dont be a cry baby) pick and choose your fights. It is always best to request additional duties or responsibilities, this shows your leaders that you can handle the additional work load. When it comes to promotion from E-4 Specialist to E-5 Sergeant it is self motivated and self paced, you have to learn and memorize the promotion study guide, all the US Army programs and be ready for the next higher pay grade.
