After completing the lesson, you will receive a certificate a day later in your AKO email. It states the number of credit hours along with the name and date of the class/when test taken. Give a COPY of the certificate to your unit admin person to have the certificate placed into iPERMs (Interactive Personnel Electronic Records Management System) and once placed into iPERMs, the info is put through SIDPERS (Standard Installation/Division Personnel System) to update your promotion points. You're 4100 should then reflect your points under "self-development". Give it a couple weeks though (from start to finish). This is what you do with medals/awards, too. Some medals give promotion points. Always keep your iPERMS up to date. Periodically view your iPERMS (link available in your AKO account) as you are ultimately responsible for your record.

Promotion points 15T refer to a specific scoring system used in the U.S. Army for evaluating soldiers' eligibility for promotions, particularly in the field of helicopter repair and maintenance (15T is the Military Occupational Specialty for this role). Soldiers earn points based on various factors, including their time in service, education, awards, and performance evaluations. Accumulating enough promotion points is essential for advancing to higher ranks within the Army. The system aims to ensure that promotions are awarded based on merit and qualifications.
The number of promotion points awarded for a Certificate of Achievement can vary based on the specific military branch or organization. Generally, it may range from 5 to 10 points, but it's essential to consult the specific guidelines or regulations of your branch to get the accurate point value. Always check with your chain of command or personnel office for the most up-to-date information.
Yes. You receive promotion points for completed correspondence courses. When I was promoted to Sergeant, points for the Infantry were particularly low, and all they really had to do was qualify with their weapon, pass their PT test, and do alright at the promotion board. Points for Combat Medics weren't so low, however, and I needed everything I could get in order to have enough points for promotion.
