Some sources say he has played as many as 100 rounds of golf since taking office. For some reason, certain presidents seem to really enjoy golf-- President Dwight D. Eisenhower was another frequent golfer, for example-- perhaps presidents find it a pleasant way to relax, and a respite from a stressful job. It should also be noted that presidents, Obama included, often play golf with members of the government from both parties, or they play golf with diplomats from other countries who are visiting the White House.
