http://www.stateline.org/live/details/story?contentId=207914 The above webpage lists Governors' salaries across the United States. This website states that the Alaska governor makes $125,000 annually. In addition to medical and retirement benefits, many states provide transportation and housing to governors. I didn't dig that far for the State of Alaska. On retirement issues, I found this from the State of Alaska. It appears that legislators can contribute part of their salary towards their retirement funding. In addition, a pro-rata retirement amount, based on years of service and amount of income in each year, is given as retirement benefit to those who serve the state. I won't try to interpret what specific benefit might be paid. http://www.state.ak.us/drb/epors/epors-questions&answers.shtml
