Yo he totally wasn't, man. They called him Rutherfraudbecause during his election a Republican-biased commission gave him the twenty electoral votes he needed even though his competitor Samuel Tilden only needed one of those votes to win. Many Americans considered his election a scam and his power over the people was diminished by that. One of the only good things he did was retire the greenbacks, which isn't even that cool.
