Typically they would arbitrate the matter.
Yes, a photographer is required to carry professional liability insurance. A photographer will be denied shooting if they cannot prove that they have insurance.
Rates cannot be given on a forum like this. There are far too many factors that go into rating auto insurance to give quotes on something like this answer forum. I represent companies that have as many as 88 factors in coming up with their rates on auto policies.
No, you cannot file two separate claims for the same accident with different insurance companies. This is considered insurance fraud and is illegal.
So does that mean you cannot get an umbrella liability policy without having some primary coverage first? I am a landlord. Let's say I am not concerned about property damage or fire loss, just liability. Is there any type of insurance I can buy just for liability? _____________________________________________________________________________________________ In answer to your question, by its very nature, there has to be underlying coverage in order to have an unbrella policy. Otherwise, there is nothing for the umbrella to supplement. Different insurance companies have different underwriting requirements as to the amount of underlying coverage you much have to get an umbrella of a stated amount. Since you are a landlord, and presumably want coverage on the rental property, you may want to look into a Commercial General Liability insurance policy. It is a broad form of policy that covers an array of risks. Only a licensed insurance agent can advise you on what is best for your needs. However, since it is rental property, I do not understand why you would not want insurance on the property itself, such as fire insurance, unless the property is uninsurable. --Luke Brown
NO YOU CANNOT USE THE MANUFACTUERS INSURANCE, YOUR COMPANY MUST PURCHASE THEIR OWN GENERAL LIABILITY INSURANCE
Yes. You can change at any time. The insurance company cannot deny the claim because you changed companies.
Contact an agent in your area, if they cannot write this type of coverage they will be able to refer you to an agent that does.
A person cannot go wrong if they insure their car with one of the top ten insurance companies. The top ten automobile insurance companies are Liberty Mutual, Geico, Esurance, State Farm, Allstate, Progressive, Nationwide, 21st Century Insurance, AAA and AARP.
No. These are completely different types of coverage which cannot be interchanged. I can't think any case where someone would even think this is a possibility.
By "only when you need it" do you mean only when you are aware of a claim or potential claim? If so, the answer is "NO". You cannot buy insurance on a burning house, so to speak.
The answer would vary depending on the state you live in, local state insurance regulations vary from state to state. In most states, you cannot get a driver's license unless you have at least liability insurance.
