DD-214; discharge papers (discharge document). It contains everything...if something's not on it...it didn't exist. The only way to correct or add to a DD-214 is by producing written orders, then the DD214 can be amended.

If one never served active duty but was in the navy reserves do they get a d214 and where would you find the statute or policy to give an employer?
