In my point of view, there is no difference between diploma and associate's degree, since they, both last in two years. thanks Asad Abulle
In terms of college, a diploma does not meet the credit requirement of a degree. Still, the diploma may be a specialty and focused on career oriented course work. For example, a diploma in Practical Nursing. Postgraduate programs of study are those areas that are taken after graduate course work (masters or doctorate) and also are typically focused on a specialty within a profession, however at an advance level.
Post graduate diploma only can get after a undergraduate degree, while you can do diploma after your high school.

An Associate in Liberal Arts diploma will have the name of the educational institution at the top. It will include the name of the graduate receiving the diploma. It will also contain the signature of the trustee or dean of the school.
Typically it is an associate degree (two year program of study). In some countries it may be referred to as a higher diploma or higher national diploma.
One of the differences is that a diploma in accounting from a certified institution will make you an "Assistant Accountant". Also you cannot be an auditor with a diploma. ~G
