The Physical Fitness Test (PFT) is a physical aptitude test run by the United States Marine Corps which allows a numerical grade to be attached to your physical performance. The accepted grades per event (Push-Ups, Sit-Ups, Pull-Ups, and the Mile and Half Run) are flexible depending on your age. Your score on the PFT can hurt you in Boot Camp, as failures are either recycled or put into the Physical Conditioning Platoon (PCP, Pork Chop Platoon) in order to build their physical fitness. The Marine Corps uses crunches instead of sit ups.
