The special form of Artificial Intelligence that imitates the thought processes of experts in a specific field is known as "expert systems." These systems use knowledge-based rules and inference engines to replicate human decision-making and problem-solving abilities. By leveraging a vast amount of domain-specific information, expert systems aim to provide solutions and insights similar to those of a human expert.

The modern day artificial intelligence is believed to have been started when the first computer was created in the 1940's. But many philosophers have come up with ideas which suggested that humans can be emulated by machanical machines. So the application has been around since the 1940's and 50's but the ideas and failed attempts can be traced back to ancient Egypt and places like that.
An artificial sweetener is a sugar substitute, a food additive which attempts to duplicate the effect of sugar in taste but with fewer calories.
No. In fact there have not been any serious assassination attempts to my knowledge.

The first actual robot was created in 1961 by Joseph F. Engelberger. It was called the Ternstedt Die-caster and basically dropped car parts made from molten steel into a cooling liquid. The word "robot" is first credited to the acclaimed Czech playwright Karel Capek (1890-1938), from the Czech word for forced labor or serf, in his writings in 1920. However, the concept of "mechanical men" has been around since the mid 1800s. The word "robotics" was first used in Runaround, a short story published in 1942, by Isaac Asimov (born Jan. 2, 1920, died Apr. 6, 1992). I, Robot, a collection of several of these stories, was published in 1950.
Counterintelligence is the intelligence discipline, which attempts to protect our intelligence from falling into enemy hands. It seeks to detect, identify, and neutralize enemy intelligence threats. There are several ways the enemy attempts to gain our intelligence. The most well-known is through espionage (spying), but also includes intercepting communications, satellite imagery, open sources, etc. Counterespionage is counterintelligence activities, which specifically targets spies.
Artificial Intelligence went under what is called the "AI Winter" because of manyfactors.Exaggeration of future achievementsFalse PredictionsUnderestimation of the problem handledHypeResearchers after achieving some of the objectives were too over confident about the future achievements and held lot of claims stating that AI would be completed in a decade or less. The government after funding a lot of AI projects requested reports regarding its progress but researchers had finally realized that the problem wasn't so easy as predicted and hence couldn't achieve what they had claimed which includes failure in speech recognition , machine translation , expert systems and even neural network and this in-turn led to cutbacks in funds.
