The full-term for the president in the USA is 4 years. If he is re-elected he may do another 4 years, making a total of 8, but he can not be elected 3 times in a row, so 8 years is the maximum.
The president can be elected for a second term, but then can not be elected again for a third term.
Franklin D. Roosevelt was the only President to be elected more than two times. He was elected to four terms, in 1932,1936,1940 and 1944. His record will never be equaled because since then an amendment has been ratified that limits the president to being elected no more than twice.
