  • The beauty with zebra's camouflage is that it deceives predators, such as lions. Whereas most animals blend into the grass and trees, people sometimes get confused by how zebra use their black and white stripes to their advantage (have you ever seen a black and white tree growing in Africa?!)
  • When in a large herd of a hundred or more zebras, their black and white stripes confuse the predator into thinking where one zebra ends and another begins. This illusion is referred to as "fatigue design" - the patterns are such that animals get exhausted trying to isolate an individual.
  • Moreover, the zebras' biggest enemies are lions who colorblind which make the hundreds of cuddled zebras look like one single body.
