What were Zachary Taylor's successes and failures?

President Taylor was the 12th President of the United States, He took office in 1849 and died on July 9th 1850, (President for just over one year). He stood against the South and their push for Slavery in the new states, President Washington passed legislation that outlawed slavery in the federal territories and the states that joined after the ratification of the U.S. Constitution. He threaten the southern states that were considering secession with himself leading the army to the south, capturing anyone that stood against them and hanging them.

He died of illness on July 9th 1850 and his Vice President Millard Filmore assumed office of the President.

President Taylor who was a general in the army, he fought against the Indian's 1845 and the Mexican's in 1846-'48.
