Couple of problems with a simple answer- first, there was no ONE grenade. The British, Americans, French and Germans all used different grenades- and each country had several different types of grenades. Second, inflation and rates of exchange have changed what money was worth (then and now). During WW 1, a worker might make $1-$5 a day, so a dollar was worth more then.

The closest I can get to a simple answer- the British Mills Bomb (hand grenade) was produced for about 6 shiilings each. A shilling was 1/20th of a British Pound, and at today's rate of exhange, 6 shillings would be about 48 cents in US Coins.
