Abigail Adams did not gain women the right to vote; that milestone was achieved much later. In a famous letter to her husband John Adams in 1776, she advocated for women's rights and urged him to "remember the ladies," but women in the United States did not gain the right to vote until the 19th Amendment was ratified in 1920. Abigail's efforts contributed to the early discourse on women's rights, but she did not directly influence voting rights legislation.

The women of Greece were given the right to vote in 1952
Abigail Adams really did not sacrifice her life directly to the colonies, but she did inadvertently; for she sacrificed her comfort and life to take care of their family's farm while her husband John Adams was away on ambassador trips to Europe. Without her care of the farm, John Adams might not have been able to go to Europe. And without his trips to Europe, the colonies might not have been able to gain their independence. Also, she was a great support to John Adams when he was in the presidential office.
