When Queen Elizabeth II hosts a dinner for the President of France, she is playing a role most similar to that of the President of the US as a ceremonial head of state. Both leaders engage in diplomatic functions that symbolize their countries' relationships and foster goodwill. While the Queen's role is largely ceremonial and non-political, the President of the US embodies both ceremonial and executive functions, representing the interests of the nation.
No, she didn't. Elizabeth I supported a moderate form of Protestantism similar to that of her father's (King Henry VIII). Source: Aspects of of Britain n the USA
Not really- the US President is Head of State as well as being head of the American Government, whereas the British Prime Minister is NOT Head of State, just the Chief Government Minister. Unlike the USA, Britain is a monarchy, so the Head of State is the reigning sovereign of the time- right now, Queen Elizabeth II. The functions of the British PM and the US president are similar in that they are both leaders of their governments, but in the USA, the President is Head of State as well, whereas this is not the case in Great Britain.

During our war for independence the colonies didn't have a president because we didn't have a true government till the end when we established the articles of confederation, and yet we still didn't have a president . Until we established the constitution who set up a government very similar to the one we have today. Then as everyone knows George Washington became our first president.

England doesn't have a president. It is a monarchy. The Prime Minister would be similar to the US president.
