For surface ships, the Boatswain's Mate on watch makes the announcement when directed by the Commanding Officer. For submarines, the Chief of the Watch makes the announcement when directed by the Officer of the Deck (OOD) underway, or the Duty Officer when in port.

there is more cargo than there is oil, or other liquids container ships use.
Most slave ships were packed so tight that the slaves barely had any room to breathe! Others, were loosely packed and the slaves got their own room. Either way, both living quarters would smell really bad, since the slaves had no personal hygiene whatsoever. Also, slaves quarters did NOT have any bathrooms so they had to go in their room. (Which is disgusting)
The ships at this time had no sleeping areas. A sailor had to find any spot he could on the ship. It was not an easy life. There was also no places to cook, take a bath, nor a bathroom on the ships.
There are three main ports in Jamaica that are used for port calls by cruise ships. They are Ocho Rios, Fallmouth, and Montego Bay.
