Up front, this is at best a guess: the US Army used to permit blousing of BDU pants, however in the '80's an order came down prohibiting the practice. The explanation given was that blousing precipitated varicose veins and circulatory issues. It is likely that the Air Force has come to a similar conclusion.
Machines make work easier by: -Changing the amount of force you exert -Changing the distance in which you exert your force -Changing the direction in which you exert your force
When a force is applied to an object, it can change the object by accelerating it (changing its velocity), deforming it (changing its shape), or moving it (changing its position).
It's not the force. It's the changing magnetic field surrounding an electricalconductor, whether or not that conductor feels any force due to the field.
It is changing force
The inward force on an object is the force acting towards the center of the object. This force is required to keep an object moving in a circular path and is known as centripetal force. It is responsible for changing the direction of an object's velocity without changing its speed.
A pulley is a surface that redirects force using a rope. By changing the direction of the force applied to the rope, pulleys can help in lifting heavy objects or changing the direction of a force.
by changing the force
A stretching force is called tension. It is a force that pulls or elongates an object without changing its shape.
changing the direction of the force or by increasing the distance over which the force is applied.
A pulley can do that.
A changing the direction of force is generally achieved using a fixed pulley or a movable pulley, depending on the specific setup. Both types can redirect the force being applied to a different direction without changing the amount of force.
