$2 bills were regularly printed in the early days of government-issued paper money starting during the Civil War. Their purpose is because US has a quasi-decimal currency system - i.e. it's mostly based on factors and multiples of 10. Ideally, to optimize the number of coins or bills needed to make change versus the number of different denominations, coins and bills should all be multiples of 1, 2, 5, or 10, so a $2 bill fits nicely in between the $1 and $5 bills in the same way that a $20 bill fits between a $10 and $50. In fact, most countries that use decimal currency systems have a 2-unit denomination because it limits the number of ones needed to make change. Making change for a $5 bill then requires at most 2 other bills - two $2 bills or one $1 and one $2. The reason the US is different dates back to the late 19th century. At that time $2 was a common price in numerous quasi-criminal activities such as gambling and prostitution. As a result the bills became associated with criminals and were shunned by "decent folks" in that era, so they pretty much stopped circulating in regular channels. Lack of use led to a reduction in printing, which led to even lower use, and so on. Despite those effects, there's always been a small but steady demand for $2 bills so they've never been discontinued and new ones have been printed as recently as 2013.
Virginia, Maryland, North and South Carolina, and Georgia are the colonies of the Southern Colonies. Maryland was founded in 1634 by a group of Catholics - the Calverts. The Calverts are a rich, wealthy family of Catholics. They wanted Maryland as a refuge for Catholics. George Calvert, also known as Lord Baltimore died before the charter was signed, so his son, Cecilius Calvert became the new Lord Baltimore. Their settlement was first called St. Mary's, later, the name was changed to Baltimore in honor of their leader. In 1663 King Charles of England gave a charter to eight of his officials. They wanted to the use the colony for their businesses. They named the colony Carolina in honor of Charles. The first settlement was Charleston. When they found out that this big piece of land was too hard to rule, they divided the land in 1680 into two separate colonies: North Carolina and South Carolina. The last of the original 13 colonies was Georgia. In 1733 the King of England gave land to a man named James Oglethorpe because Oglethorpe had a plan to get rid of debtors living in England. They thought that if they sent these debtors to the start a new colony, they would start a business and protect the land. The first settlement was called Savannah, and Georgia was named in honor of King George of England. The climate in the Southern Colonies was the warmest of the English colonies. The warm climate made it possible to grow crops throughout the year. The land was flat and the soil was rich and fertile. Tobacco and rice were the two most important cash crops. The climate was ideally suited for plantations where slaves did the manual labor. The geography of the Southern Colonies had a broad, coastal plain that was hilly and covered with forests. The economy of the Southern Colonies was driven by plantations, initially worked by indentured servants, a labor force which was largely replaced in the early 18th century by slaves imported from Africa, except for Georgia, where most plantations were worked by debtors.

Ideally you control all variables except for the variable of interest.
Jean-Jaques Rousseau
Control of a nation's political power ideally belongs to its citizens, as they are the ones affected by governance and policy decisions. Democratic systems advocate for the participation of the populace through fair elections, ensuring that power reflects the will and needs of the people. Ultimately, those who demonstrate responsibility, integrity, and a commitment to the common good should be entrusted with political authority. However, mechanisms must be in place to hold leaders accountable and protect against abuses of power.

The balance of power between the government and the people varies by political system and context. In democratic societies, power ideally resides with the people, who express their will through voting and civic engagement. However, governments can exert significant authority through laws, enforcement, and policy-making. Ultimately, the effectiveness of the people's power often depends on their participation and the checks and balances in place to limit governmental overreach.
Secularity refers to the principle of separating religion from civic affairs and government functions. It emphasizes the idea that religion should not influence political decisions, laws, or education, allowing for a pluralistic society where multiple beliefs coexist. Secularity can promote freedom of thought and expression, ensuring that individuals can practice their faith or choose not to believe without governmental interference. In a secular context, public policies are ideally based on reason and evidence rather than religious doctrine.
A control sample or control group is used to compare with the experimental group or sample. The control sample ideally, should be exactly the same as the experimental sample except that you don't give your experimental treatment to the control sample. Afterwards you compare the 2 samples to see if your experimental treatment had any kind of effect. The control is like a reference point.
The variable being tested. The difference between the two groups after the experiment will ideally show some effect by the variable element.
