colonial printing is one way of news in the colonial period. the printer had a messenger and an apprentice. the apprentice would do all the "grunt work" while the printer would do most of the easy stuff. first the printer would typeset the word backwards than roll the ink on and attach the typeset to the bottom of a giant screw. the piece of cloth paper sits on the other half of the screw. then the apprentice printer will tighten the screw and join the two sides together. then h would wait for the first half to dry and then repeat the process.
