The Russian Revolution of 1917 significantly impacted global politics by inspiring socialist movements and shaping the ideological divide of the 20th century, leading to the Cold War between the U.S. and the Soviet Union. It also influenced the development of communism, which affected numerous countries' governance and economic systems. Additionally, the revolution contributed to ongoing discussions about democracy, human rights, and the role of the state in society, which continue to resonate in contemporary political discourse.
The Russian Revolution did not play a large part in the US government's decision to enter the War. The sinking of the Lusitannia, the Zimmerman Telegraph, unrestricted submarine warfare and propaganda played a much larger role in the decision.
The renaissance affects us today by giving us music, art, literature, and poetry.
I think that the US had already determined to enter the war by the time the Russian Revolution began, so there was little impact. If Russia had withdrawn from the war and the US had NOT entered it, then the outcome might have been different. What many do not know is that the US sent troops to Russia to fight the Bolsheviks. The Americans were sent to Archangel, in northwest region. The British sent troops farther to the east. So, a related question would be: "What impact did USA and Britain have on the Russian Revolution?" Due to the cold war everyone was affected because the Americans and Russian were both fighting for power. The economy of either countries were unaffected and the affect was mostly political.
