There never was a gold half cent coin. Gold is too valuable for such small denominations. Even at the (comparatively) low price of gold back in 1852 a half-cent made of it would have been about the diameter of a pencil eraser.

A "Double Eagle" coin is any US $20.00 gold coin, no other coin. Ten dollar gold coins are Eagles, Five dollar are Half Eagles and Two and a half dollar are Quarter Eagles.

That's a half dollar coin, not half cent. If it is authentic, it is worth several hundred dollars. If it is one of the reproductions sold to tourists in the 1950s, it's still worth $15-$20.
