The nickel has been redesigned a couple times in recent years. Nickels 1938-2004 had a center profile of Jefferson. Those in 2005 had an off-center closeup of the side of his face, and 2006-present have an off-center portrait.

What is the value of an 1899 buffalo nickel?

Buffalo nickels were made from 1913 to 1938. Nickels made from 1883 to 1912 are called Liberty nickels, or sometimes V nickels because they had the Roman numeral V (i.e. 5) on the reverse side.

How much are buffalo head nickels without any dates on them worth?

They usually sell for about 10 to 15 cents. Crafty people use them to decorate belts and make domed buttons. Note that these coins are called Buffalo Nickels or Indian Head Nickels, but not "Buffalo Head" nickels. After all, they show the whole buffalo and not just its head! ========================= The mint mark will be located on the back side under the words FIVE CENTS. Nickels minted in Philadelphia do not have a letter, though. Also, nickels minted from 1913 to 1925 had a design flaw that allowed their dates to wear off quickly. Unfortunately these "cull" nickels aren't worth much more than face value. The link below lists prices.

What is the value of an 1800 US nickel?

Please check your coin again and post a new, separate question. The first US nickels were minted in 1866. Lewis and Clark commemorative nickels minted in 2004 carry the expedition date 1803 on the back side. If that's what you have it's only worth face value to a dime in circulated condition.

Is the side centered cube a bravais lattice?

Hi, No the side centered lattice is not a Bravais Lattice as the lattice doesn't look the same from an atom on the corner of the cube and an atom in the middle of a vertical edge of the cube (they don't even have the same number of neighbors). In fact, the side centered lattice is a simple cubic lattice with a basis of two atoms.

What is the value of a 2005 US nickel with a half face on one side and a buffalo on the other side?

If you found it in change, it's only worth 5 cents but it makes a great keepsake. Your coin is one of the commemorative nickels minted during the Lewis and Clark Bicentennial. The partial portrait is on ALL 2005 US nickels so it's not a mistake. Hundreds of millions were struck so they're not rare.
