The under development of the African continent and more worryingly the mental limitations it has instilled in black people everywhere, the effects of which are still being felt to this day. From a European prospective, it greatly boosted infrastructure, trade, Demographics and arguably gave birth to the Industrial revolution.

How did Columbus begin the transatlantic slave trade?

He brought slaves to Spain from the Caribbean

What three countries were in the transatlantic trade?

It is not clear to what period or what kind of trade you are referring. If it's the trade after the discovery of the Americas the countries most involved were Spain and Portugal and later, England. If it's the transatlantic slave trade, the countries involved were England and the United States, and to a lesser extent Portugal and the Dutch Republic.

What country were the first to sell slaves?

The Portuguese were among the first to engage in the transatlantic slave trade, starting in the 15th century. They initially enslaved Africans on the West African coast and later transported them to work in their colonies in the Americas, particularly in Brazil. This practice laid the groundwork for the broader transatlantic slave trade that involved other European nations over the following centuries.

What are the three reasons that the transatlantic slave trade began?

The transatlantic slave trade began primarily due to the demand for labor in the Americas, particularly for the cultivation of cash crops like sugar, tobacco, and later, cotton. Additionally, European colonizers sought a more cost-effective and reliable workforce than indentured servants, leading to the enslavement of millions of Africans. Lastly, the existing African slave trade networks facilitated the capture and transport of enslaved individuals, making it easier for Europeans to exploit this system for economic gain.
