They are cone shaped, they could hold 30 or 40 people comfortably, women are in charge of making the tepees, the plains indians lived in them, they are constructed of poles, they are covered by animal skins ( mostly buffalo), they are sometimes decorated with symbols that had meaning for the owner, and there is a hole at the top to let smoke out when they build a fire inside of there tepee!
