Well, she escaped a life of slavery and made it up North to freedom, which was a feat in and of itself, given the numbers of slavecatchers and their dogs that patrolled the woods and the roads. But she also made over a dozen trips back South to rescue groups of other slaves, and none of them, including her, ever got caught. The odds against her were astronomical.
