hey guys
I believe you are a bit mixed up. The South wanted slavery.
Because they wanted Slavery and the North didn't want slavery
People didn't want to end slavery because they didn't like certain jobs and slavery took care of that. In other words, people were to lazy to do their jobs and slavery let them be lazy. I hope it helped=D
Yes. Slavery was a huge part of southern agricultural life. (I am not saying that it was right)
abolishtionists
Gradualists differentiated with the immediatists due to the fact that the gradualists believed in advancing towards a goal, abolitionism, through small and slow steps. Immediatists believed that slavery was an extreme sin which needed immediate eradication.
The idea that slavery should not be ended all at once, but phased-out over time, was sensible enough. It was the moralising about it that lacked credibility. Even Robert E. Lee, the epitome of the responsible Southern aristocrat, declared that slavery was an undoubted evil that the Almighty would bring to an end when He saw fit. It is hard to believe that Lee actually thought this.
he did not want slavery
Millard Fillmore want slavery and didnt want slavery
There were three main and distinct Anti-Slavery movements in the United States. The Gradualists accepted the concept of white superiority, favoring gradual emancipation and resettlement in Africa. Immediatists believed that slavery was a sin, and called for its immediate end. Political Anti-slavery movements focused on containment, and were against the further expansion of slavery.
the north didnt want slavery but the south want slavery
Abolitionists were the vocal advocates who vehemently opposed slavery in any form and demanded its abolishing forthwith. Some of these abolitionists even resorted to armed struggle like John Brown who raided Harper's Ferry. On the other hand typical anti-slavery movements at the time called for moderate reforms and were called gradualists. They advocated gradual abolition of slavery.Ê
they wanted to end slavery
No. North wanted to end slavery and south wanted slavery
They did not want slavery in the south they wanted to be apart of slavery.
Just the opposite, abolitionists violently opposed slavery.
he was not with slavery he was with the North or with Abraham Lincoln
