the Southern planters thought that slavery shouldn't be ended for they needed the slaves for their crops
Fredrick Douglass i think
They wanted their own country. The wanted the Confederacy of America. The UNion didn't. Also, the Union didn't think that slavery was all too hot.
Frederick Douglas is the most famous one, although there were probably others, whose are less well known. I would think that any escaped slave would be an abolitionist.
the northern and the south delegates have different ideas about slavery because the southern needed slaves and the northern did not
Apparently John Brown was a radical anti slavery abolitionist. He had a wide range of anti slavery contacts including Fredrick Douglas. It seems he was bent on becoming a martyr for the cause in that capturing a Federal weapons depot in Virginia would surely mean a trial for treason.
It wages call
I think that he was a partial abolitionist, but I am not sure.
Fredrick Douglass i think
i think abolishing slavery.......

He wanted to abolished slavery.
Canada did not have legalized slavery as part of its history. During the 18th and 19th centuries, Canada was known as a destination for enslaved Black people who sought freedom through the Underground Railroad. Canada also played a role in the abolitionist movement and the establishment of anti-slavery legislation.
I think you mean abolitionists. And what they wanted to do was abolish slavery.
Abolitionists were people who wanted the Slaves to be free...They were the people who helped with the underground railroad for example. So, no, I think if you owned a slave back then, you really didn't want an abolitionist watching your slave ;)
In general, people in the northern region of the United States were more opposed to slavery compared to those in the southern region. Many Northerners believed that slavery was morally wrong and incompatible with the principles of freedom and equality. This sentiment eventually played a significant role in fueling the abolitionist movement in the North.
Because the north and the south wanted differnt things south wanted slavery, but the north wanted freedom.
