1902 is a relatively common date for Barber dimes in circulated condition. Look on the back of the coin to see if there's a small mint mark letter below the wreath. It may be blank or there may be an O or S.

Numismedia lists the following approximate retail values as of 05/2011:

No mint mark (Philadelphia):

Very worn condition - $4

Moderately worn - $6

Slightly worn - $8

Almost no wear - $62

Uncirculated - $103 to $5,530 depending on quality

"O" mint mark (New Orleans):

Very worn - $8

Moderately worn - $15

Slightly worn - $29

Almost no wear - $148

Uncirculated - $390 to $13,850

"S" mint mark (San Francisco):

Very worn - $9

Moderately worn - $54

Slightly worn - $82

Almost no wear - $193

Uncirculated - $385 to $10,210

DISCLAIMER: The retail values quoted are the best available as of the date shown, but may vary significantly due to changes in the precious metals market. Also the wholesale (buying) price of a coin will be less than the selling (retail) price. A reputable coin dealer will be able to give a more accurate valuation based on inspection of the coin.
