Assuming the coin is circulated, the 1914-D Lincoln cent is considered a key-date of the series. Circulated coins are seen more often than Mint State coins. For an accurate assessment of value the coin needs to be seen and graded. In general retail values as of 9-8-11 for low grade coins are $160.00-$290.00, better grade are $400.00-$900.00 and coins showing almost no wear run from $1,300.00-$2,000.00. Values are a market average and only for coins in collectible condition, coins that are bent, corroded, scratched, used as jewelry or have been cleaned have little or no value to a collector or dealer.

NOTE: This coin is known to have been counterfeited and many altered date coins.
